Weather causes a large share of the drones we repair, especially in the monsoon. Most consumer drones are not waterproof, and wind can carry a small drone away faster than it can fly back. Here is how to judge the conditions.

What each condition does.
Most drones are not waterproof. Water shorts motors, ESCs and boards. Do not fly in rain unless your drone is rated for it.
Gusts push small drones off course and drain the battery fighting back. Check your drone's wind rating and stay well below it.
Moisture and poor visibility; vision sensors may not work.
Battery packs and electronics run hot in Indian summers. Shade batteries and land earlier.
Cold batteries lose voltage; warm them before flying.
Act fast and do the right things.
Immediately, and do not power it on again.
Heat can push water deeper and damage parts.
Remove propellers, wipe the outside and keep it in a dry place.
Corrosion can start hours later. Bring it in or courier it for cleaning and checks.
